Well hello there!

​Welcome to my virtual kitchen known as Toni's Table!

​I'm Toni Boyette and even though I currently split my time between in Los Angeles, CA  and Silver Spring MD, my story begins in the Italian seaside city of Livorno.  Of course food plays a MAJOR role in my life.

Cooking lessons arrived when Jackie, my oldest sister, called from her job as an office manager at a busy San Francisco architectural firm to talk me through the preparation of recipes (provided mostly by her designing  co-workers) for the evening meal.

Folks ask me to name my favorite cuisine.  For a 20th century gypsy like myself the response is complex:
 
From the memory of Mommy’s fishcakes, to my BFF’s Sunday gravy to the tajines I inhaled during a childhood trip to Morocco, my particular experience claims it all. There is no sorting or isolating one from the other, the only thing to do is sift it all together, creating new traditions while honing my unique craft - feeding folks and creating community.
